Abstract

This thesis uses clinical case vignettes to examine my second-year dance/movement therapy clinical internship. It provides information on my clinical setting and population, and on my developing role as a therapist. The case vignettes focus on examining my group process, interventions and outcomes. Getting ready to lead dance/movement therapy groups at inpatient or outpatient psychiatric settings comes with many rewarding challenges. Understanding the use and practice of group psychotherapy along with DMT theories and practice becomes essential in working with groups in clinical settings.
